STEVE NOOYEN
Founder/President of
‘We Care
Senior Care dba HOME INSTEAD’
In 1997 at the age of 30 Steve founded We Care Senior Care which operates fifteen franchises within the Home Instead franchise system. They provide non-medical in-home care services for the elderly. He leads his company of over 1200 employees and as sole Owner, Steve acknowledges God as CEO on their organization chart.
Steve Nooyen’s life is intended for Christian ministry – specifically to teach others about how to lead in love(v) – regardless of the type of work – or play! – he is involved in. As such, much of his life revolves around his “ministries in disguise as for-profit” and his “ministries in disguise as non-profit”.
Steve and his wife Kristi started Wheelchair Whitetails which provides hunting opportunities for people with disabilities. Hunts are conducted on their 500+ acre property in northern WI at no cost to the participants. Their hunts have attracted wheelchair bound individuals from across the United States and Canada. They also have partnered with ‘Challenge The Outdoors’ to establish a fishing destination in Shawano County for people with disabilities, as well as the young and elderly. Steve believes a future calling is in the area of mental illness, and is preparing for something called ‘Project G’.
Steve and Kristi, have been married for 35 years and live in Sturgeon Bay, WI. They have two grown children and three young grandsons. Besides adoring his family and friends he is an avid fisherman, hunter, snowmobiler, and retired mountaineer.
